Donald Faison has spent decades making audiences laugh as Turk on Scrubs, but the role he’s held longest and most proudly isn’t on a script. For more than 14 years, the actor has been married to CaCee Cobb, a woman who went from being Jessica Simpson’s right hand to building a quiet life with one of Hollywood’s most consistently working actors.

Who Is CaCee Cobb?
CaCee Gabrielle Cobb was born on December 3, 1977, in Denton County, Texas. Before she became known as Donald Faison’s wife, she was best known as Jessica Simpson’s longtime personal assistant and close friend. She appeared alongside Simpson on reality shows like Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica and The Price of Beauty.
Cobb and Simpson had a falling out in the mid-2000s after Cobb disagreed with Simpson’s decision to date John Mayer following her divorce from Nick Lachey. The two later reconciled and remained close, with Simpson serving as Cobb’s maid of honor.
She is now described as a brand marketing manager.
How Donald Faison and CaCee Cobb Met
Fittingly for a man whose closest on-screen relationship was with Zach Braff’s J.D., Faison met his future wife through Braff himself. The couple crossed paths at Braff’s 30th birthday party in 2005.
They dated for six years before Faison proposed in August 2011. Interestingly, both have admitted they initially didn’t want to get married at all. It was a trip to some Los Angeles jewelry stores that changed their minds.
“I don’t remember if he got down on one knee, but I remember the box had a light in it, and the ring was spinning,” Cobb recalled on the couple’s rewatch podcast. “The best part was he was like, ‘I love you! I love you!’ and I was like, ‘Oh my god!’”.
A Wedding in Zach Braff’s Backyard
On December 15, 2012, Faison and Cobb tied the knot at Braff’s Los Angeles home. It was the perfect venue for a couple whose love story began at Braff’s birthday party.
Braff served as a groomsman, while Jessica Simpson walked down the aisle as maid of honor, wearing a full-length black dress and carrying a bouquet of red roses. Singer Joshua Radin was also in the wedding party. Guests included Ashlee Simpson, Sarah Chalke, Seth Green, and several of Faison’s Clueless co-stars.
Simpson tweeted afterward: “I was the maid of honor last night for my BF @caceecobb. She was the most beautiful bride I have ever seen in my life!”.
A Blended Family of Eight
Donald Faison is a father of six children from three relationships, and Cobb has embraced the role of stepmother with grace.
Faison’s oldest son, Sean Faison-Ince, was born in 1996 with ex-girlfriend Audrey Ince. He was then married to Lisa Askey from 2001 to 2005, and they shared three children: twins Dade and Kaya, born in 1999, and son Kobe, born in 2001. When Askey passed away in 2017, the children moved in with Faison and Cobb.
Together, Faison and Cobb have two children: son Rocco, born in August 2013, and daughter Wilder Frances, born in April 2015. Cobb gave birth to Rocco at age 35 and Wilder at 37.
In a 2019 interview, Faison opened up about fatherhood, saying he loves being a dad but misses “being able to go anywhere I wanted to go with my wife and not [having] to worry about a babysitter”.
Life Today
The family was most recently seen together at The Mandalorian and Grogu premiere in May 2026, hitting the red carpet at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Cobb also shared photos from NBA All-Star Weekend in February 2026, showing the family posing with Steph Curry and Allen Iverson.
Their son Rocco, now 12, is growing up fast, and Cobb occasionally shares rare glimpses of him on social media.
