Ken Urker Parents: What We Know About the Late TV Personality’s Family Background

Ken Urker, the former fiancé of Gypsy Rose Blanchard and father of her daughter, was an American who came from a large, supportive family. His mother, Raina Williams, played a visible role in his public life before his death on October 1, 2026.

Urker was found dead at his Louisiana home on his 34th birthday, according to authorities. While much of his personal life remained private, details about his family and nationality have surfaced through interviews and public statements over the years.

Ken Urker’s Nationality

Ken Urker was American. He was born and raised in Texas, where he attended school in Dallas before going to college. Throughout his adult life, he lived in multiple states, including Florida, Washington, California, and Louisiana.

His public profile was primarily tied to his relationship with Gypsy Rose Blanchard rather than any independent professional ventures.

Who Are Ken Urker’s Parents?

Urker’s mother is Raina Williams. She was the most publicly visible member of his family, speaking to media outlets on multiple occasions about her son’s relationship with Blanchard.

Raina Williams confirmed details about Urker and Blanchard’s reconciliation in 2024, telling reporters that her son had flown from Texas to Louisiana to support Blanchard amid her separation from then-husband Ryan Anderson. She emphasized that the two were “not back together” at that time and that Urker was “just being a supportive friend to her”.

Williams also revealed that she had watched the documentary Mommy Dead and Dearest around the same time as her son, which led to Urker writing his first letter to Blanchard in prison.

There is no verified public information about Urker’s father.

A Big Family

Blanchard has spoken about Urker’s family background, describing him as one of five children.

“He has a big family and so do I,” Blanchard said in an interview. “My father’s side is pretty big. It’s something I am relieved about because it’s like, a lot of people in here they don’t always have that family support”.

Blanchard also recalled her initial concern about how Urker’s family would react to her given her criminal history. She said Urker reassured her that his mother, grandmother, brother, and other family members had already watched the documentary about her story and “have a heart for you”.

The Death

Urker was found dead at a residence in Raceland, Louisiana, on October 1, 2026. The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed that deputies responded to a call at approximately 6:15 p.m. and found Urker dead upon arrival. The death investigation remains ongoing.

Blanchard told PEOPLE that she believes Urker overdosed, though she does not know what substance was involved or whether the overdose was intentional. “He was not in a good state of mind lately,” she said.

Urker’s sister, Autumn, confirmed his death on TikTok Live, stating that her brother’s last words to her were “I love you”.

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office has not released an official cause of death, and an autopsy report has not been made public. Urker is survived by his daughter, Aurora Raina Urker, who was born on December 28, 2024, and by his extended family, including his mother, Raina Williams, and his four siblings.
