Autumn Urker, the sister of Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s late ex-fiancé Ken Urker, went live on TikTok in visible distress on Thursday night, confirming her brother’s death while directing sharp accusations at Blanchard for allegedly leaking the news to the press before the family could process it privately.
The emotional livestream marked the first public family reaction to Urker’s death and added a layer of bitter conflict to a tragedy that has already drawn intense public scrutiny. Ken Urker was found dead at his Louisiana home on October 1, his 34th birthday.
Autumn Urker’s Livestream Confirmation
Autumn Urker appeared on TikTok Live on the evening of October 1, visibly shaken and sobbing as she addressed the flood of questions from followers. She confirmed that her brother had died and shared that his last words to her were, “I love you”.
She also indicated that her brother’s death was not the result of natural causes, while noting that law enforcement does not suspect foul play.
Accusations Against Gypsy Rose Blanchard
During the livestream, Autumn Urker accused Blanchard of going to the media before the family had been given time to grieve. According to reports of the livestream, she stated, “See, this is why I came on here, because I knew that b—h would go to TMZ”.
She also claimed that Blanchard had not been in contact with Urker recently, despite Blanchard’s public statements suggesting otherwise. Autumn reportedly said that Blanchard texted Urker “happy birthday” but had not been getting responses.
Blanchard’s Public Statements
Blanchard spoke to both PEOPLE and TMZ on Thursday, revealing her belief that Urker died from an overdose. She said she did not know what substance was involved or whether the overdose was intentional.
“I don’t know if it was intentional or not,” Blanchard told PEOPLE. “He was not in a good state of mind lately”. She also said she was “in disbelief” and had “screamed until my throat burns”.
Blanchard described Urker as “an amazing father” and said he would “forever be my soulmate and my red string”. She attributed his struggles to “relentless cyberbullying” and “an unimaginable level of public scrutiny”.
The Discovery and Investigation
The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed that deputies responded to a residence in Raceland, Louisiana, at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Urker was found dead upon arrival, and the death investigation remains ongoing.
According to multiple reports, Blanchard’s brother Dylan and his wife discovered Urker when they arrived at his home to take him out for dinner. Blanchard had sent Urker a birthday text earlier in the day but received no response, prompting concern.
The State of the Relationship
The exact status of Urker and Blanchard’s relationship at the time of his death remains unclear. Autumn Urker stated during her livestream that the couple “had been split up”. Blanchard has referred to Urker as her “partner” and “soulmate” in her statements, while other reports have described him as her “ex-fiancé”.
Blanchard and Urker share a daughter, Aurora Raina Urker, who was born in December 2024.
What Comes Next
The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office has not released an official cause of death, and an autopsy report has not been made public. Blanchard has asked for privacy and compassion for “our daughter, our families, and everyone grieving Ken during this incredibly painful time”.
