Rick Ross Ex-Girlfriend: Jazzma Kendrick Accuses Rapper of Abuse Before His Arrest

Jazzma Kendrick, Rick Ross’s ex-girlfriend, publicly accused the rapper of physical abuse days before he was arrested on domestic violence charges, sharing photos of a busted lip and calling herself his “punching bag.”

The allegations from Kendrick, a 39-year-old model and content creator, surfaced on September 26, 2026, through a series of Instagram Stories. They preceded Ross’s arrest on October 1 by less than a week and set the stage for a legal battle that has drawn national attention.

Who Is Jazzma Kendrick?

Jazzma Kendrick is a model, influencer, and real estate professional who was romantically linked to Ross for roughly a year. The two first went public with their relationship in August 2025 when they were photographed together at a Florida launch event for RR22, Ross’s luxury bag and accessories collection.

Their relationship was on-and-off. Kendrick reportedly told a fan in September 2025 that they had broken up, but the couple later reconciled and made their red carpet debut at the 2026 BET Awards in June. They were last seen together in August 2026.

What Kendrick Alleged

Kendrick’s Instagram Stories posts were graphic and direct. When a follower commented on a selfie, saying “I’m seeing what Rick is seeing, you’re so gorgeous,” Kendrick replied with four words: “He saw a punching bag”.

She then posted a close-up photo of her face with what appeared to be an injured lip, captioned: “The day Rick busted my lip and the day I left”. Another image showed her pulling up her upper lip to reveal a bloody injury.

“I don’t know a lot of things, but I do know that a man that puts his hands on me, is a man that never loved me and never will,” she wrote.

In a final post, Kendrick offered advice to other women: “It’s always good until it isn’t. If a man hits you one time, he will do it again. Don’t give him the opportunity. Value your life and leave”.

Timeline of the Alleged Incident

Kendrick initially did not specify when the alleged abuse occurred. She later clarified in a follow-up post on September 28 that it happened “about a month ago” and that she had spent time processing and healing before speaking publicly.

“I want you to know I’m OK,” she wrote. “Speaking up wasn’t easy, but your support reminded me I made the right choice”.

The Police Report and Ross’s Arrest

According to Miami-Dade County court records, the alleged assault occurred on the morning of August 28, 2026, at Ross’s Star Island home. Kendrick filed a police report on September 29, one day before Ross’s arrest.

The arrest affidavit states that Ross woke Kendrick up, “enraged” because she was tagged in a photo on Instagram. He allegedly slapped her, struck her in the chest several times, and “choked the victim to the point she could not breathe by grabbing the collar of the hoodie she was wearing and twisting it”. Kendrick told police he slammed her against a wall by her ponytail and struck her in the face, causing a busted lip.

She provided police with timestamped photographic evidence of her injuries.

Tia Kemp’s Response

Tia Kemp, Ross’s ex-girlfriend and the mother of his eldest son, weighed in on the allegations. Kemp dated Ross from 2003 to 2007 and shares 21-year-old son William Roberts III with him.

In comments on The Shade Room’s Instagram post, Kemp offered a message about leaving relationships: “Ladies when that man say go home… That ride home with garbage bags of your clothes n that backseat hurts trust me… it hurts! That’s all. They want to be in the mansion 4ever… go home baby… and keep a job”.

During a livestream, Kemp questioned Kendrick’s account. “You punched your f—ing self! He ain’t whooped this a– since… 2006. He don’t touch a* no more”. She also suggested security footage from Ross’s home could clarify what happened, saying “It’s cameras all around that new state of the art house”.

Ross’s Denial

Ross’s attorney, Steve Sadow, issued a statement denying the allegations and questioning Kendrick’s motivations. “William Roberts II, professionally known as Rick Ross, is being wrongfully accused by an ex-girlfriend whose true motivations are unclear,” Sadow said. “The ex did not even file a police report until September 29, a month after the claimed incident allegedly took place on August 28, 2026”.

Ross pleaded not guilty to one felony count of battery by strangulation and one misdemeanor count of battery. He was released after posting $6,000 bond and ordered to stay away from Kendrick. His arraignment is scheduled for October 22.
