Survivor is starting another chapter with 21 completely new contestants ready to outwit, outplay and outlast one another in Fiji. The Survivor 51 cast ranges from 24 to 49 years old and brings together an unusually varied group that includes a chef, criminal defense attorney, professional wrestler, farmer, actor, physician in training and voice actress.
Season 51 is officially known as The Open Era, signaling another shift for the long-running CBS competition after the milestone all-star Survivor 50. Jeff Probst returns as host, but this time every contestant is a first-time player with no previous Survivor experience to fall back on.
The season premiered September 23 with a special two-hour episode before moving into its regular 90-minute Wednesday format. Ultimately, one player will claim the title of Sole Survivor and the $1 million prize.
What Makes the Survivor 51 Cast Different?
Survivor 50 was built around familiar faces, but Season 51 takes the opposite approach.
All 21 contestants are newcomers. That immediately changes the social dynamics because viewers and players cannot rely on previous Survivor reputations when deciding who looks dangerous.

Aaliyah Puglia, 24, is a chef originally from Gloucester City, New Jersey, who now lives in Providence, Rhode Island. She enters the competition believing her adaptability and ability to build relationships can become important strengths.
Alexis Levine is a 34-year-old criminal defense attorney living in Atlanta. Interestingly, she planned to keep her real profession secret from the other players and instead describe herself using a job she previously held. Her courtroom background could make her especially interesting during strategic conversations.
An “Thien An” Nguyen is a 24-year-old medical student from Fort Worth, Texas, and one of the youngest contestants in the Survivor 51 cast. She considers herself deeply competitive and hopes genuine personal connections will help her navigate the game.
Ana Sani, 34, lives in Toronto and already has entertainment experience. She is a voice actress whose credits include projects connected to My Little Pony and Strawberry Shortcake, and she has also appeared in The Boys.
Angelica “Jelly” Loblack is a 29-year-old sociology professor from Bloomington, Indiana. Studying people for a living could prove useful in a game built around alliances, trust and social perception.
Brady Booker, 27, is a professional wrestler with extensive outdoor experience. While his physical appearance could quickly make him look like a challenge threat, Brady hopes fellow players underestimate the strategic side of his personality.

Carter Krull is a 24-year-old livestock farmer and entrepreneur based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. His experience working outdoors may make the adjustment to camp life easier than it will be for some of his competitors.
Cristian Chavez, 26, works as a head of human resources and lives in Salt Lake City. He started college at just 15 and enters Survivor with a competitive personality and plenty of confidence.
Danny “Kilby” Kilby is a 30-year-old game designer from London, Ontario. As both a longtime fan and someone who professionally thinks about games, he may naturally approach Survivor from a strategic angle.
Devin Way, 33, is one contestant some television viewers might already recognize. His acting credits include Grey’s Anatomy, Queer as Folk, Station 19 and other television projects. Devin planned to keep his acting career quiet while leaning on his social skills.
Eric Macksoud, 34, is a mental health counselor from Windsor Locks, Connecticut. His professional understanding of people could be valuable, although maintaining trust while making strategic betrayals is always one of Survivor’s hardest balancing acts.
Jenna Doore, 30, is a wedding photographer who has dreamed of playing Survivor for years. She sees relationship-building as one of her natural strengths but knows being too focused on helping others could work against her own game.

Kristin Flickinger is the oldest member of the cast at 49. She works in crisis management and has spent years wanting the opportunity to compete on Survivor. Her professional background could prove useful when plans suddenly collapse and players have only minutes to adjust.
Lewis Kelly, 28, is an Irish farmer living in Puerto Rico. He openly describes himself as mischievous and comfortable around chaos, which could make him one of the season’s less predictable personalities.
Linnea Capobianco, 25, comes from New Jersey and owns a lingerie and adult store. She describes herself as outgoing and goofy but also highly logical, creating an interesting combination for a game that requires both social warmth and strategic thinking.
Maggie Nestor, 40, is a farmer and mother from Charlestown, West Virginia. A lifelong hunter and fisher, she arrives with practical outdoor skills along with experience in therapy and teaching.
Mike Pinsky, 32, works as a baseball executive in New York City. He is accustomed to making major professional decisions and enters the game with a straightforward objective: winning rather than simply enjoying the Survivor experience.

Ori Jean-Charles, 27, is a personal trainer and former professional football player. His athletic background makes him an obvious potential physical threat, although he also wants competitors to recognize that his game goes beyond strength.
Patt Cannaday is a 33-year-old federal prosecutor in the military who currently lives in Washington, D.C. Her courtroom experience means she is comfortable arguing a case and being underestimated before demonstrating what she can do.
Rob Antonson, 40, is an airline agent and father of three from Cumberland, Rhode Island. Rob believes his ability to talk with almost anyone could become his biggest Survivor weapon.
Sharonda Cox, 34, is an OBGYN resident who sees Survivor as an opportunity to finally take on something entirely for herself. Her medical training demands resilience and composure, while she believes her tenacity and street smarts can carry her deep into the competition.
Together, these players make up one of the show’s most professionally diverse casts in recent seasons.
Who Are the Youngest and Oldest Survivor 51 Players?
The Survivor 51 cast covers a 25-year age range.
Several contestants enter the game in their mid-20s, including Aaliyah Puglia, Thien An Nguyen and Carter Krull at age 24. Their youth could bring energy during physical challenges, although Survivor has repeatedly shown that age alone rarely determines who controls the social game.
At the other end is Kristin Flickinger at 49. She brings decades more life experience than some members of the cast and has pursued her Survivor opportunity for years.
The mixture is important because successful Survivor players rarely fit one specific profile. Physical ability can help during challenges, but social awareness, timing, adaptability and the ability to recover after a bad vote are often just as important.

Survivor 51 premiered Wednesday, September 23, 2026, on CBS with a two-hour opening episode.
Following the premiere, regular episodes air Wednesdays in 90-minute installments. The season is also available through Paramount+, with live streaming options depending on the subscription plan and episodes becoming available on demand.
Filming once again takes place in Fiji, which has served as Survivor’s long-term production home.
After the nostalgia-heavy celebration of Survivor 50, Season 51 offers something deliberately different. There are no returning champions, established rivalries or famous reputations. Every contestant is beginning from the same basic position.
That makes the Survivor 51 cast difficult to judge before the game develops, and that uncertainty is part of the appeal. With 21 newcomers from dramatically different careers and backgrounds entering the Open Era, the next Sole Survivor could emerge from almost anywhere.
